Editorial Services

I'm here to help you tell your story and share your ideas with the world. Here’s the thing about publishing a book: not everyone who earns a book deal is a writer by trade. And this makes sense, right? Publishers largely commission non-fiction authors because they’re an expert on a topic—whether that topic is yourself (in the case of a memoir or biography) or a specific area, such as parenting, nutrition, or psychology.

If you fall into this category, it can be extremely helpful to have a co-pilot for the writing process—someone who understands the flow of books and how to put your message together in a compelling, readable way that truly reflects who you are, what you want to say, and how you want to say it. Not to mention navigating the sometimes-turbulent winds of book writing—in my experience, no matter what topic you’re writing about, the process is often far more emotional and complicated than most expect. (And also, incredibly gratifying in the end!) It’s helpful to have someone on your side who has been through all of it before, who can assure you that it’s allllll part of the process, and who can help you make the best decisions along the way.

Whether it’s a manuscript or book proposal, I cater my book-writing processes to what works best for my client. That can look any number of ways, but some of the main ways people work with me are:

Standard Ghostwriting

I gather the information necessary to write a book through information-gathering and a series of interviews with a client, then write the book in the client’s voice from there. The client reviews the final manuscript and we make changes as necessary.

Co-Writing

I work in tandem with a client to write the book.

Developmental Editing

A client comes to me with a complete manuscript. At this point, I do a deep dive into the work, recommending structural changes, content additions and deletions, and a general overview of what is and is not working (and, in the case of the latter, I explain how that can be fixed).

Book Coaching

If you’re looking to have a more hands-on approach with your book but would like professional guidance the entire way through the process, be sure to check out my Book Coaching page.

It goes without saying that I love writing and have a proven track record of success. But what I also love is hearing people’s stories and doing a deep dive into the information they’ve gleaned throughout their lives. I believe it’s this love of (and fascination with!) each person’s strengths, challenges, nuances, and general life path that makes me an exceptional writer and writing partner. Throughout the course of my ghostwriting career, I’ve adopted many different voices and written books through many different filters. Every time, it is a unique adventure, challenge, and partnership that I adore.
